Each year, Guernsey Touch sends teams to national and international tournament to represent the island. Since 2004, Guernsey has been represented at the European Championships, the Mainland Cup, the Home Nations and the GIF Tournament. Players have also been asked to join multi-national teams at various different club tournaments across Europe.
Every summer, there is also the inter-insular against Jersey which traditionally marks the end of the season.
Island team training is open to all players, of all abilities and is a fantastic opportunity to develop a greater understanding of the game, learn new attacking and defensive strategies and of course have the chance to represent the island at major tournaments.
In 2016, the island teams will compete in the Inter-Insular on Saturday 11th June at KGV with tap-off times expected to be around 10.30, 11.30 and 12.30 (TBC). The mixed open, men's open and ladies open will head to Jersey for the European Championship in early July and for the first time there is a Guernsey side heading to the Youth Euros in Amsterdam in August.
